The Necessity of Anti-Aging Medicine Beauty Treatment Applied to the Principles of Respect for Life and Consideration
With the development of modern medicine, various cosmetic surgeries and procedures such as fillers and Botox are prevalent for youth and beauty as well as treatment for diseases. However, the current beauty care sector is moving away from the core values of "respect for life" and "principle of consideration" in line with the conventional contradiction of the domestic healthcare system and economic conditions.
Q. MEDIEUS Queen: Hello. It’s great to meet you, Director Jung Chan-woo. I know you are the author of "Impression Clinic", a book telling that the pace and pattern of aging can be changed only by facial expression habits without costs and procedures, and at the same time, the representative of JF Dermatology Clinic and you. Please explain the 'Impression Clinic' in detail.
A. Jeong Chan-woo, Director of JF Dermatology Clinic (hereinafter referred to as Jeong Chan-woo): More and more people are receiving medical treatment to look young. If the treatment is defined as 'anti-aging medical cosmetic treatment', the treatment target will be the four-layer structure (bone, facial muscles, subcutaneous fat, skin) that make up the face.
The target of the “impression clinic” is the facial muscles on the second floor. When aging begins, facial muscles are transformed into a certain pattern. Most of the facial muscles around the mouth, the forehead, and the middle of the forehead are strengthened, and the facial muscles in the middle of the cheek area deteriorate. This pattern can be said to be a direct cause of more than 70% of clinical facial aging. As you get older, the feeling from your face, or "impression," is more important than the beauty of your features being evaluated as numerical harmony, and this determines " vitality." The secret to maintaining a lively youth over age depends on how well you maintain your facial muscle usage habits. Impression clinic is an "expression muscle rehabilitation treatment" that restores the usual facial expression habits to the unique pattern given from birth. In fact, over the past 17 years, I have been able to experience numerous miracles as a result of persuading and training customers to train facial muscles that convey good feelings to the other person. Impression clinic is the most important and basic treatment in anti-aging medicine cosmetic treatment. Beauty treatment without considering facial muscles will eventually have awkward results over time.
Q. MEDIEUS Queen: You published a book called “The Impression Clinic”, which contains long-term research to make it easier for many people to follow the right facial expression habits. What is the difference between 'Impression Clinic' in the book and 'Impression Clinic' in hospitals?
A. Jung Chan-woo: Those who practiced hard alone through my books, lectures, and broadcast videos experience amazing changes and often express their gratitude. However, some people complain that there is no further change, or that certain wrinkles are more prominent. The impression clinic operated at the hospital differs greatly in two ways from the impression clinic that tries on its own. The first is the "Impression Botox" treatment that accurately analyzes the power of the bad facial muscles (tips of the chin, square jaw, forehead, forehead, around the eyes, etc.) that cannot be neutralized by themselves no matter how hard they try. Even if you stay still, your facial muscles have some basic tension. So you can't even feel how much strength you're putting on which muscles. If we help you medically in this area, we can proceed with effective rehabilitation as soon as possible. Second, receive periodic 1:1 impression coaching (applicable to facial muscles PT). Through this, you can quickly escape from bad facial expression habits and this guides the direction. In conclusion, you can understand that the impression clinic provided by the hospital helps you reach a brighter and happier impression faster and more accurately.
Q. MEDIEUS Queen: Recently, there are many famous facial exercises such as using beauty tools such as sphincter massagers and facial exercises like face yoga. Does it actually help prevent aging?
A. Jung Chan-woo: Basically, I think these efforts are positive in that they emphasize the importance of using facial expression muscles. However, since there is no scientific understanding of facial muscles, clinical aging of the face, and furthermore, maintaining effective upper and lower respiratory posture, the more repeated facial exercises are, the more bad facial muscles are also strengthened, resulting in unwanted results. Please understand the basic concept of the impression clinic and the direction of muscle rehabilitation treatment and proceed with facial exercises.
Q. MEDIEUS Queen: In recent years, many people have undergone several procedures and operations called dental surgery to improve aging. It often becomes unnatural depending on the facial expression after the procedure or surgery, is there a treatment unique to the JF dermatologist for natural aging treatment?
A. Jung Chan-woo: We are conducting the 'JF Anti-Aging Outline Restoration Program' for a natural youth that is not awkward even 50 years later. We've been doing this procedure since 2007. As a dermatologist specializing in anti-aging, when I declared non-incision, non-session, or "NINS principle," for safe aging treatment, I drew ridicule from many colleagues. This is because it was like a chef promising to make a nice dish without fire and a knife. But I've come up with a special device, like a "steamer," that allows you to cook eggs without fire, and I'm determined to come up with a procedure that makes them look better, like carving them using a straw, not a knife. In the course of that reckless challenge, new procedures have been developed to minimize tissue damage, which is completely different from conventional procedures. As a result, everyone in their 20s to 80s currently conducts the same basic program.
Q. MEDIEUS Queen: You're called a dermatologist who abandoned a knife. I'm curious why you're continuing to keep the "NINS principle" in practice while doing aging treatment.
A. Jung Chan-woo: Since I was young, I have been told that I am good with my hands, and I have always dreamed of becoming a "surgical doctor" since I was a teenager because I like a job that can help people. When I was in medical school, I wanted to be a neurosurgeon, not a dermatologist, but I chose dermatologist because of my mother's persuasion. After quitting the general hospital and performing skin cancer surgery at the National Cancer Center, I made a small but precious resolution with myself when I opened a clinic in 2003. Although I did not become a doctor who protects the patient's life at the forefront of life and death, I promised to be a doctor who was not ashamed of myself.
It was never easy to keep that promise after the opening a clinic. Looking back, modern medicine has developed remarkably over the past 50 years, but this has not been the case in the field of anti-aging beauty treatment. In the case of senior medical staff, the problem of "off" (reduction of volume) in treating representative aging problems has been solved by "filling," "sagging" (decreasing elasticity) by "pulling," and "wrinkle" by facial expressions by "paralyzing." This approach has been continuing like a Bible until recently. However, is this the right approach? These questions were the biggest concerns for me as a dermatologist.
I think the cause of this problem is that the beauty care sector has since moved away from the core value of medical care, "respect for life." Compared to doctors who deal with life, doctors who deal with beauty treatments are bound to have less tension and less intensity. On top of that, due to the economic reasons caused by old contradiction of the domestic medical system are added, the number of medical staff in the beauty field is increasing every year regardless of whether they majored in dermatology or plastic surgery. It takes at least five years of training before a surgeon completes the course and performs the first heart or brain surgery. Just as it is natural for a neurosurgeon to undergo at least four to five years of training for his first brain surgery, sufficient experience and concern are essential for beauty procedures that can cause great damage to the precious face in the future. Therefore, I believe that the core values of life respect, and consideration should be applied to beauty care for an ideal anti-aging beauty treatment that is completely different from the past, and I have made a lot of efforts to realize this.
Since the start of treatment in the field of anti-aging beauty treatment in 2003, I have established the principle of "Do no harm! (No one should experience damage for beauty)" and the principle that it should be a procedure without regret in the next 50 years. This is because the damage to the cosmetic procedure may occur immediately after the procedure, but it may occur after a long time. And in order to keep that principle, we had to accurately predict changes due to aging and do procedures that didn't go too far. And we've been trying to induce healthy regeneration of the organization itself rather than making a big difference. We’ve pursued a fundamental way to solve aging in the longer term.
Q. MEDIEUS Queen: If there's anything you want to say for a conclusion, please.
A. Jeong Chan-woo: I hope that anti-aging medicine beauty treatments will develop to be more considerate of customers than now. Although I can't say that the aging therapy that I've pursued and developed is the right approach, fortunately, people in the same industry say it's the closest treatment to the best answer at this point. Rather than conducting a procedure that could someday harm customers because it is difficult, difficult, and takes a lot of time to learn about basic principles, I hope that respect for life, and human consideration will be restored. We hope that our efforts will provide the right direction for many of our colleagues.
